The truth is I have been researching this for myself. It was never on my radar before now.
It is a Federal Holiday which, in my mind, needs to give us more guidance was to how we should celebrate Juneteenth.
It is officially observed on Monday, June 20th. I understand about 30 percent of employers will expect employees glued to their screens, driving delivery vans or planted at their desks.
That’s a job for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion people to sort out too.
However, I join with my African American family in celebrating freedom and the march to a freedom that endures.
