I am a snack junkie.

When I am in the zone, all health rules go out of the window.

Recently, I have craved Chai teas and coffee while I work. Under intense pressure, junk food, carbs and processed foods are on the menu.

Chocolate is a food group! Get the petition! I will sign it! I say that with no reservation!

After stuffing my system with many gastronomic delights, I feel exhausted, sluggish, and bloated. Forget about finishing that chapter because I had fed my body poorly.

To echo Virginia Woolf, I will try to eat healthy foods. Food is medicine. The natural, wholesome ingredients aid in nurturing the entire body. Part and parcel of this is attempting to step away from the computer to sit at the table.

Savoring a good meal at the table surrounded by family, friends and loved ones is self-care.

Now, regarding wine, that is another story for another day.
